Launch of Newsletter
Welcome to the first Newsletter from AJW Photography.
Our aim is to keep everyone up to date with what we are up to and showcase just a few images recently taken. As this is our first newsletter, we have decided to showcase some images from the last six months or so.
 AJW Photography Wins an Award
 It's official, we are the best!!!
Earlier this year, AJW Photography was nominated for an Award for "Most Creative Business"
Only the top companies recommended by local people were up for the award and it was then down to the public to do the Voting.
'The Best Of Colwyn Bay', the company behind the award, recently announced "We are delighted to reveal that AJW Photography has won the Most Creative Business Award."
We would like to say many thanks to those that voted for us, we were up against stiff competition, including other photographers, so it's great to win the award.

 New Web Site for 2008
2008 has started of as a busy year, so much so, it's taken until the begining of April to launch our new site.
We had a lot of compliments about our 2007 site, so we've not made too many changes, but hopefully, we have made it a little easier to find what you need in each area of photography that we provide.
The News and Blog Page is also new and where you will find the latest updates about what we are up to, plus each section now has information and Photographs only relevant to that section, with links allowing you to easily switch to different areas of the site.

 Conwy Council Local Projects
The European Unit at Conwy Council have launched a 52 page booklet featuring projects that have received Objective one European funding between 2000 and 2006.
As part of the project to develop the booklet, AJW Photography were commissioned to produce photographs of 25 of the businesses and organisations featured. This ranged from small community based support groups and local businesses, through to larger funded projects such as the new underpass at Bodnant gardens and the Great Orme Tramway in llandudno.
As each one was very individual, it meant overcoming creative challenges to get the right shots, which included taking to the air for some fantastic areal images.

 All in the name of Charity
Have you noticed that sometimes, like London buses, you get a gap in a type of work you do and then you get 2 or 3 all at once!
In the past few weeks we have taken lots of bookings for charity events and balls taking place in the autumn to rasie money and we have just finished shooting for a Calendar to raise money for Charity.
Shooting with the 22 girls who work for OCS was great fun and I know that they all had a giggle too.
Gaining the ladies trust was the first and most important factor. They started off quite shy and bashful but in a short time they actually began to enjoy themselves.
One of the shots involved the scantily clad ladies being on the promenade at Pensarn at 6 o'clock in the morning. A passer-by almost fell off his bike as I don't think he could quite believe his eyes. Fortunately he was ok and wobbled off quite quickly.
The Calendar has now gone to print, so will update you all when you can get a copy
And it's all in the name of Charity
