Welcome to our E-Newsletter for AJW Photography
Well, the summer is almost over (Some may say it never arrived), which can only mean one thing, we will start to see the Christmas items appearing in the shops and plans will be underway for the office party. We know this as our summer shoots included the new Christmas Hamper range for Fourteen, which is delicious by the way.
Thankfully this years summer was a little better than last, which we were very grateful for as outdoor and location portrait photography is proving very popular. This also helped with the many summer Balls that took place, as there is nothing worse than turning up dressed as a damp squid.
Looking forward to what the rest of 2008 will bring, it looks like many of you are in Party mood as we have a record number of events booked already for October, November and December, so maybe I will see some of you there.
And on a final note, if you want a fun Christmas gift this year, then the OCS Calendar shot by us, is about to go on sale, so let me know if you want to order a copy.
Bye for now
Andrew

 Creative Shooting
The great thing about photography is that every job is different, so requires creative thinking to suit each challenge. On top of this, you also have to deliver what the client wants.
Recently I was taking photos at Capenhurst uranium enrichment plant, near Ellesmere Port in Cheshire, which is currently undergoing decommissioning.
Whilst lining up the next shot, looking through the lens, I am presented with an armed police officer. So what did I do? Well I shot him of course. Thankfully, the commission was to take images for the Civil Nuclear Constabulary (CNC) of their new uniforms for their officers, which will be used for PR and promotion of the CNC.
This meant being creative and trying to produce shots to their style of brand, which then can be used in a number of different situations. To do this we photographed a male and female officer in various situations they may face whilst performing their duties, so everything from patrolling the area, to searching vehicles and talking to people they meet.
I'm sure the officers enjoyed being models for the day and I know we ended up with some great shots for the CNC
 Calendar update
Some of you may remember that earlier in the year, we shot a calendar to help raise money for Charity. Well, the Calendar is now in print and due to be launched any day now.
Not wanting to stop there, the Girls at OCS have also arranged a charity event, to consider with OCS's 15th birthday Celebrations, which will take place on 11th October at Elwy Hall, Rhyl. All Proceeds for the calendar and Event will be going to Hope House, so please support them if you can by either purchasing a calendar or going to the Ball, although I was told today that there are only a few tickets left.
We will be there as well taking photo's, so come and see what we do, as well as personally meeting some of the girls that bared all for charity.
If you would like a copy of the Calendar or want to go to the Ball in October, please contact Donna or Anna at OCS. Tel 01745 824162. The Calendar will also be available soon At Tesco Abergele and Threeways Filling Station, Abergele.
